Emilie wanted dark and moody shots, and I thought it was an ideal time to experiment with lighting and softboxes and black velvet backdrops. And to my surprise Emilie pulled out an electric violin and was playing it for much of the shoot, and she happen to draw a bit of an audience with her playing.
A can't say much for the lighting as various techniques and a varying number of off-camera flashes were used.
